Rochelle has developed Pregnancy Barre
to assist women in maintaining fitness, feeling strong and keeping energised throughout their pregnancy.

Like Pilates, barre is a mind-body workout that can improve posture, alignment, balance, flexibility and strength – all without straining the joints. 


Rochelle has been practising Pilates and barre for more than 7 years and runs a variety of mat and barre classes for women from her Pilates studio in Howick, East Auckland. The busy mum-of-two offers a variety of class options under her business banner, Core Strength. 


A refreshing and engaging instructor, Rochelle believes in the “exercise in balance” Pilates philosophy – and the health benefits that can be achieved through Pilates and barre practice. She specially developed Pregnancy Barre for expectant mums who may be struggling to find an exercise class that maintains their fitness, strength and energy levels.


As well as being fantastic during pregnancy, Pregnancy Barre is a brilliant postnatal exercise, providing new mothers with a fun class to help regain their strength and stamina, and generate much-needed energy. Classes have the added benefit of toning, firming and elongating post-baby bodies and sculpting a strong abdomen again, post-baby.
